31.6-inch iMac is coming this year

2 min read

A recent report cites unnamed industry sources that claim to have knowledge of Apple & # 39; s plans for the short to medium term. A 31.6-inch iMac is quoted in the second or third quarter of 2019. A 10 to 12-inch iPad is also mentioned for the fourth quarter of 2020, or the first quarter of 2021, as well as a 15-to-17 – inch the MacBook for the first half or 2021.

Although we don't want to look into it in the future, a 31.6-inch iMac would be the largest computer Apple has ever announced. The backlight technology for the computer would consist of 500 LED chips or 600 microns in size. The report cites information from Kuo Ming-chi, which also claims that more than 10,000 mini-LEDs are needed for the iPad BLU (backlight unit).

Apple changed things with the introduction of the iMac Pro in 2017, but where the iPhone maker focused. Screen size and physical dimensions have remained constant over the years, so 31.6-inch iMac is another game changer, if it occurs.
