Alleged Huawei Mate 30 Pro screen protector reveals huge edge curve

2 min read

We've all seen curves before, from the original Note to the OnePlus 7 Pro. Huawei, however, seems to make a screen with a larger curve on the side than what we have seen before, if this leak allegedly shows a screen protector, it is legitimate.

Published on Weibo, claims to show on the Mate 30 Pro screen protector, and, if you can see, the curve is almost a full 90 degree curve that wraps around the edges of the phone on the page. With such a curvature, Huawei has to cook something in the UI and the UX department, because the curved sides of the screen are not ideal for interaction. However, they can be used for scrolling, shortcuts, notifications, and other actions. We will have to wait for more spills to resolve the issue and form an opinion. For now, if it turns out to be true, this will be the display with the largest curve on the sides.
