Crysis Remastered may launch on July 23 and runs at 4K on Xbox One X.

A few weeks ago, the sleeping Crysis account started teasing a new game with cryptic messages. While it was unclear whether this was the high-profile Crysis 4 or a remaster, everyone discovered the answer the next day. According to a message from EA – spotted by "lashman" – "Crysis Remastered brings new graphics, high-quality textures and … ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and – for the first time – Nintendo Switch."

It's a shame this isn't Crysis 4, but Crysis is a great game and we can't wait to play it on Xbox One soon. According to the Microsoft Store, the game runs at 4K resolution on Xbox One X and the file size is only 7 GB. It is unclear whether the game will get a day one patch that increases this.

Another press release floating online says the following.

The classic first-person shooter is back with the action-packed gameplay, sandbox world and thrilling epic battles players loved the first time – with remastered graphics and optimizations for a new generation of hardware co-developed on Cryengine with Saber Interactive. Starting this summer, Crysis Remastered will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Crysis Remastered will focus on the original player's single player campaigns and will feature high-quality textures and enhanced art assets, an HD texture pack, temporary anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depths, new light settings, motion blur and parallax occlusion mapping, where applicable, particle effects will also be added. Further additions such as volumetric fog and light shafts, software-controlled ray tracing and screen space reflections give the game a major visual upgrade.
